Re: Total number of pages with XSL-FO

Thanks,

I am definately going to try it, after I figure out how to find the last
node in the documents (was there a thread about this a while back?). I am
also guessing that I will have to apply templates to all notes except the
last block element.

Could be.

I faintly recall from a while back that Nadia had page-masters that didn't
require an even number of pages and so wouldn't produce a blank for that
reason. Forcing the last content block and the empty ID block to always be
together should catch those nasty floaters. So, "should always work" is
relative to the problem at hand (which is generally my focus).

Still, could be.

The table solution should always work.

if the last page is blank then it could be (couldn't it?) that this is a
forced blank page from (eg) force-page-count in which case the last page
can be really blank and after any block in the content.
Or there can be a blank float that floats past the end of the main
content flow or ....
