And almost the galaxy too, i ever wondered how the aliens speak so
well english (specially the american flavour) in films, if even i
can't completly understand that language...

And his assumption would be correct, mostly.  I've heard that the "lingua
franca of the world" changes according to the predominant world activity.
In the "age of diplomacy" it was Franch.  In this "age of business" it's
English.  Seems plausible.
