Isn't it just case of escaping the < angle bracket to & l t ; and
wrapping it all in a <pre> ?
No need to convert LFs to <br/>s when <pre> is used....

from the FAQ that's mentioned in the email that was sent to you when
you joined the list or mentioned in the doc in the bottom of the email
that starts the thread. Searching the archives that was provided in
the same link will also probably turn up links. Typing 'replace br
xslt' in google turns up several messages in the archives that also
match.
Not sure if we've saved you any time since you've had to wait for our
