If you really want a marshalled bridge that is understood by multiple
platforms and languages, I assume it's better to try something along the
lines of ancient CORBA and its contemporaries, which opens an interface
that talks both ways in the same tongue.
But of course, if you only want .NET, you can focus on this CIL thing
and you should be able to target many languages that can be addressed in
the .NET way. But you rule out the (many?) people that use Ruby but not
Ruby.NET, that use PHP, but not PHP.NET etc.
