you don't show your input but presumably you have other elements for
which the default template is used, thus copying text.


perhaps you want

<xsl:template match="*">
  <xsl:apply-templates select="*">
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="*:Type1">

<xsl:value-of select="."/>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
