I was wondering if i could do the whole thing in the alias file..something
like

testlist: "|formail | /home/troyr/mailscripts/test.pl
\|/usr/lib/listar/listar -s testlist"

But listar doesn't receive the message..

testlist: "|formail | home/troyr/mailscripts/test.pl",
"|/usr/lib/listar/listar -s testlist"

(all on one line). Note each program recipient is enclosed in quotes and
the two are delimited by a comma.

Thankyou Sean that worked perfectly :)

Oh, I forgot to ask - what is your intended purpose of using formail here
-- if the message is coming from the MTA already, there's probably not a
lot the default (no argument) function of formail is going to do for
you. One typically sees it invoked to add/remove headers, burst an mbox,
or escape from lines in the body. What are you using it for?

I was originally using formail to only dump in the some of headers and body of
an email to my script. But now i'm passing the whole email to the script. Do i
still need to use formail? Or does the email get chucked into STDIN
automatically?

thanks :)
