Just to clarify, does procmail actually do the writing to mail folders or
does Postfix?
Procmail writes the folder.
However, my guess is that postfix is setting a per-process file size
limit, which applies to procmail (which postfix runs as a child process)
as well as to postfix itself.
See "man setrlimit" and your postfix configuration.
