It avoids authentication failure/oversized message warnings that are
mailed.
One concern - what if people forget about the file and then wonder why their
email isn't being collected? There needs to be some simple way for
fetchmail to (automatically and regularly) remind people that the collection
is being skipped - particularly as this will survive a reboot!
