This looks bogus. What compiler was your fetchmail compiled with?
Is your RAM ok? (Is that ECC RAM or have you run memtest86 recently on a PC?)

That's the fetchmail package that is currently in fedora devel (rawhide)
and will end up in FC2 (ie I didn't even build it myself at first)

Backing out the patch Red Hat adds to suport gss auth fixes the bug, so
I suppose there's a bug in it people only hit when talking to pop
servers that do not grok CAPA.

Anyway, if it's not fixed be prepared for all the bug reports that will
come once FC2 is out.
