Ok, I'll be nice and reply, but as it says at the bottom - if you
include me in list traffic, or email me directly, you're decreasing the
odds of my helping you.

Linux server : Redhat 9.0
Samba 2.2

I have solved the previous problem, now there is a new
problem. When I click
on Send receive in Outlook, it synchronizes perfectly without an error
message, but no messages are downloaded !

Then I can say with certainty that this list is not the best place for
solving your problem.

I have all the messages stored in /home/nikhil folder but
unable to download it using Outlook.

Then you have a problem with either your SMTP server (for which you've
provided no details) or your POP server (for which you've provided no
details). I'd suggest you tackle the problem as follows and seek help
with the relevant pieces of software via the relevant mailing list or
newsgroup:

1) Identify the SMTP and POP software
2) Make sure the SMTP server is running
3) Send a test mail, from the mail server and watch the mail log to
ensure it's delivered where you expect
4) Use "mail" on that server, as the target user, to see if the mail is
available

PLEASE - keep list traffic on the list. Email sent directly to me may
be ignored utterly.
