Re: EBCDIC & uuencode/uudecode

I've been thinking that in the next draft, though we define & promote
base64 rather than uuencode, we should also make it clear how things can
be tagged if they are, e.g., uuencoded compressed tar files, or other
semi-standard things like that.  In other words, we make it clear that
these things CAN be done compatibly with the new RFC, but we encourage
new agents to use the newer, more robust methods.  Stay tuned for an
attempt to formalize that thought...
