Therefore, I am asking the list's indulgence in the following:
We remove the image/g3fax content-type ENTIRELY from the MIME spec
Since image/g3fax is necesary for MIME/MHS interworking, this seems
the best course.
Marshall:
Since we have at least 2 working bitmap formats defined already, and I
have tools to beat a G3FAX into one of those two formats, I wish to go
on record that I'd rather get MIME out the door *now*, and wait a few
months for a G3FAX definition that *works*. I have needs for the rest
of MIME that outweigh the loss of G3FAX.
As a *full* MIME-MHS gateway will become important to us in the near
future, can you give an estimate if this decoupling will speed, slow, or
not affect work on a gateway document?
