PostScript has documented, standardized,
and commonly used facilities for identifying the version of PostScript in
use directly in the PostScript data itself.
`Commonly used' isn't good enough. The MIME spec for
"application/postscript" should *require* use of these facilities, so
that any body part marked as postscript, but without these version
identifiers, can be cleanly and automatically rejected.
