Mark - let's say we make this change. Then, next week, someone sends
you a message with a parameter list containing an unquoted '?'. Should
we then remove '?' from tspecials as well? The week after that, you get
a message with an unquoted '/'. Should we then remove '/' from
tspecials as well? The week after that... you get the idea.
Give me a break. People either read the spec or they don't. So they
miss it. Fine, tell the implementor and they'll fix it.
If you `have better things to do than to worry about tripe like this', then
why are you spending so much time fighting it? You seem to have some sort of
religious fervor over it. I'm just trying to let my users read their mail.
Today's word is pro-jec-tion:
the act of ascribing to others one's own emotions.
I am not arguing that we can't change the MIME spec. But let's try to
fix things that are broken, not things which violate your sense of
aesthetics.
