There is some leaning in the usefor group to keep
Supersedes as it is, but let it deprecate with time, and
invent a new header "Replaces". This new header might have
a parameter with values such as "minor", "major" and "faq".
The reason for this is that many existing news server
cannot handle even the simplest change in the syntax for
Supersedes.
Since e-mail does not have any standard yet for this
header, this might mean that such a header should be named
"Replaces" and not "Supersedes" in e-mail. We will have to
wait for the conclusions in usefor before this is decided.
