this was a glitch - two different mh-like user agents with different
notions of the current folder.
i guess that is not the point of his paper... anyway if you want to
force IPv6, you can do getaddrinfo(3) with hints.ai_family = PF_INET6.
what does getaddrinfo() have to do with socket creation?
