Existing UAs do have this feature. It's called setting the content
of the standard Reply-To field, which has precisely the desired
semantics as specified in RFC 2822:
Which existing MUAs have the feature to set the Reply-To field
"_automatically_" according to the particular list(s) involved?
In addition to ones already mentioned by others, Kmail can do so
on a per-folder basis, and can initialize that setting from the
mailto URI of a List-Post field. Mozilla, Ximian Evolution,
Outlook, and Sylpheed can have a Reply-To field set per "account"
or "identity", which can be easily changed (and certain folders
can be associated with one). Of those -- which include the most
widely used MUAs -- Kmail seems to be the most easily automated
(indeed, setting a Reply-To address list manually for a folder
involves typing in not a list of addresses but a mailto URI, which
isn't exactly intuitive, but I digress).
