No, not THE flaw, A flaw.
Remember the challenge/response anti-spam house that decided
to spam everyone they had sent a challenge to with a marketting
message?
I just got two of these.
1. I never sent mail to tim(_at_)mailkey(_dot_)com(_dot_) I've gone through
my
outbox. As far as I can tell this is a reply to mail he received
from the list, incorrectly sent to the From instead of the
Return-Path. I'd report the bug to the mailkey folks, but in order
to contact them they force me to use their system. Why should I
waste my time any more than I already have? Welcome to the
fundmental flaw in challenge-response--it assumes that the sender
cares more about sending than the receiver cares about receiving.
