A human being expresses consent for specific messages. The consent system
tries its best to implement those wishes. Unfortunately the wishes of
humans and the results of computers do not necessarily match. There is a
need for a distinction between consent expressed by a human being and how
this consent is implemented by computers. However, the bottom line is that
any message that a human receiver does not want - does not consent to, is
considering spam according to that person.
Although reasonable-sounding these descriptions are starting to remind
me of those long-ago Artificial Intelligence seminars where you'd get
to ponder why some seemingly simple human behavior was so difficult to
code into a program. "Time flies like an arrow" and all that.
