Yes. And they'd be spamming thru the lists if the the lists let 'em.
I dunno. If they were actually looking for lists, it would be pretty
easy to tell what list the addresses were scraped from. Since most
lists just check that the From: line address is a subscriber, it would
be really easy to resume spamming through lists if they wanted to.
List spammers used lists because they were spamming from dialups and
couldn't push out enough mail one at a time. Broadband and zombies
solved that problem.

Yes. Anyone hear him interviewed on public radio? Not about spam,
