There's a *lot* of people -- large ISP's, vendors, enterprises, etc -- who
are waiting with bated breath
Mike's comments should be taken very seriously on this point. DKIM comes to
the IETF after 1+ years of effort and endorsed by an unprecendented group of
collaborators representing all aspects of the messaging industry. These
folk do not expect a "rubber stamp" but neither should they accept a "do
over". The world is not going to wait forever for the IETF to take action
(and by "action" I don't mean hold another BoF). We need to get the charter
and WG formation behind us to show the world and all those waiting for us to
act that we're committed to finishing and perfecting this technology.
