It's that, in order to get the marking, she can't spoof a trusted person's 
sender address. That requires, of course, that the markup requires that the 
signing domain have some connection with the Author domain. I don't know if 
there's a standard for that, but some heuristics might be usefully 
implemented in the MUA. For example, it might only display the validity 
information if there's an exact match.
