From can get changed by some remailers but its very very very rare.

No "very" I worry about, one or more, a non-issue <g>

For a mailing list, in my technical view, the MTA/MDA
process is completed

Here I don't agree. I view mail list as intermediate processing
and email redirection agent.

Hence why these issues are discussed. :-)

I don't think the term "redirect" is a appropriate for a list. That implies
a passthru, or relay like concept.

The EMAIL vs GROUP idea, this is only a human interpretation. SMTP is a
direct mail concept. The list server or list expander is what makes it a
"group" concept.

But from a direct mail standpoint, the single MTA/MTA job is complete, and
legally complete as well as terms of "ownership" considerations.

Haven't seen too many "considered" users.... (of course I'm also one of
less "considerate" and rarely remove additional addresses in list reply)

More like lazy perhaps. <g>

Anyway, I think the main point here as I believe Michael Thomas stated,
don't use headers that have a high potential for change downlink. It just
invites trouble (based on the current defined DKIM specifications.)

But even then, it just a matter of resigning. The issue I have here is the
complexity introduced.

So in my view, optimal backward compatibility can be achieved by ignoring
verification for passthru concepts.
