[mailto:owner-ietf-mailsig(_at_)mail(_dot_)imc(_dot_)org] On Behalf Of Dave
Crocker
Just to clarify a potential point of misunderstanding:
Dave Crocker made exactly the same impassioned plea to restrict
scope in MARID. Then once he had excluded the existing mechanisms
using the charter he made his own proposal.
For those who were not tracking the Marid activity, I had no
management role and was merely another participant.
Hence, I had no ability to decide what was included or
excluded in the Marid
activities, except as one among many who formed rough consensus.
The fact remains that you argued very strongly to secure a charter that
excluded reputation, then having succeeded in excluding competing
schemes you made your own proposal.
You have already pre-judged the questionof group consensus. You clearly
intend to represent only your own views and not those of the group.
I do not believe that type of behavior is transparent, open or the type
of behavior that is acceptable in either a BOF chair or a WG chair.
