Hello,

Well between a switch in ISP's and a rather hetic couple of weeks I fail
to notice that I had not changed my address for the mail list. I am now in
the process of catching up on +90 messages.

I am rather disapointed to see the amount of bickering going on over
non-issues. The whole ascii issue has been blown way out of proportion.
It's only a couple of lines of code people spend an afternoon write the
code and be done with it. Shesh!!

I whole-heartedly agree with this! Just make ARMOR a SHOULD and
leave it as a 'quality-of-implementation' issue. The code is trivial and
the market will drive most implementations to include it before very long.

Who the $#(_at_)#$@!!! let David "FUD" Sternlight in here?!? Bad enough his
rants fill up the pgp newsgroups do we really need him here?

If we want him to go away, we need to consistently ignore him
regardless of how inflamatory his remarks are. People like this want some
cause to fight for (really, they just want to get other people ticked). If
no one is playing the game, it is no fun. He will just pick up his ball and
go home (please, please, please).

I saw that someone sugested droping all support of current implemntations
and starting from scratch. I hope this was just a bad joke.

Well the IETF meeting is next week. I hope that we can get some productive
work done afterwards.
