Who the $#(_at_)#$@!!! let David "FUD" Sternlight in here?!? Bad enough his
rants fill up the pgp newsgroups do we really need him here?

If we want him to go away, we need to consistently ignore him
regardless of how inflamatory his remarks are. People like this want some
cause to fight for (really, they just want to get other people ticked). If
no one is playing the game, it is no fun. He will just pick up his ball and
go home (please, please, please).

An unbiased review of my posts to the ietf open pgp list will show that
I have made no personal remarks about any interlocutor on this list, nor
posted any "rants". To the contrary I have bent over backwards to be
fair-minded, presenting (for example) advantages of web of trust as well
as rigid heirarchical in the context both of this group and the
instructions this group and the S/MIME 3 group are under to work
together in areas of commonality. I have raised some issues in the
context of trust models and the robustness of signature structures. In
return, several have mounted vicious personal attacks against me.

Readers who aren't trying to obfuscate those issues will realize that
personal attacks come from those who feel threatened by a discussion of
such issues because they conflict with some hidden agenda. The attackers
are attempting to pseudo-speciate my posts in order to avoid those
issues. Such behavior speaks for itself, and I assume fair-minded
readers see it for what it is.

Those who wish to use this group to pursue a partisan political or
commercial agenda will have to live with the self-exposure their
behavior has now produced.

This will be my only post on this topic, since the purpose of this list
is to discuss open PGP and not me or attackers on me. I leave it to the
good sense of readers to deal with the latter issue as they see fit, in
the privacy of their kill files.
