Your proposal deals with MIME, but PGP/MIME still solved the problem.
PGP/MIME in its current incarnation (RFC2015) _does not_ deal with
clearsigs.
If MIME is considered for any reason a four-letter word in this
draft, the text starting with the words Lutz quoted and up to the end
of 2.7.1 section should be excluded from my proposal.
