Whether you like it or not, and whether you want to believe it or not,
these individual contributors to the IETF and its proceedings DO
REPRESENT their companies and the best interests of their companies,
AND NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL USER
COMMUNITY.
Companies may believe they are sending representives to IETF, but
IETF policy is to recognize only individuals. The individuals who
contribute to IETF engineering work bear full responsibility for their
technical recommendations, regardless of their companies' policy.
