Bancroft,

Phil is correct in all of the above.  However, given that the 
OSS ASN.1 Tools already supports BER, DER and PER, it will be 
very easy for us to support CER.  You can be certain that if 
CER is required by this or any other standard OSS will provide 
immediate support for it - before any implementor has a need.


Sounds fine. But it has been suggested that supporting CER might
be expensive. How much extra would CER support cost?
