Are you saying "remove the complete 1yz cruft and be done with
it" ? Sounds like a brilliant idea. Somewhere you'd have to
say that extensions are free to invent their own reply codes
starting with other digits (including "1"), to be used if and
only if the corresponding extension is used by mutual agreement.
