representation. ISOC is supposed to include it. You can claim that them
being involved, users are represented. But the more you split from the
ISOC structure and formalize the things, the more you will need to
introduce users/consumers representation.
Actually the "users" of the structure being discussed here are the
participants in the IETF process, not the public at large. That's important
to keep in mind.
The IETF standards process is not supposed to be affected by this
reorganization (except, hopefully, by having better support). I agree that
the IETF standards process needs to have participation from users, but
doing so through management of the support infrastructure would be
*significantly* convoluted....
