Most of the documents to reach STANDARD status in recent years have been
SNMP documents. But even though SNMP has its uses, deployment and use hardly
compares with HTTP which is at DRAFT. And nobody should be considering using
the SNMP 2.0 protocol which is the one that is allegedly STANDARD as it has
no security layer.

Fact check - the STANDARD is SNMPv3, not any of the various flavours of v2,
and SNMPv3 has authentication, integrity, confidentiality, and access control.
