Actually, I managed to do so for more than 10 years (at least I received very few complaints once I learned how to reply in ASCII ;-)


But advice that says
"don't use Outlook" will be filed with the advice that says "pick
another employer to work for".

Or, since we're all "volunteers", we could just do IETF work on our own time & using our own computers.

For a while, the stock advice has been slightly different:
"Get a $WEBMAIL account", where one popular value for WEBMAIL is "gmail".

Of course, if policies prevent using the Web from workplace, I feel your pain.
