My mistake, Earl. I only installed namazu2 via apt-get.  I installed
mharc from source using the instructions you referenced.

I'm still fiddling, so I'll see if I can get more information for you.

You may be better off install mharc directly from the source
distribution.  I've tried to spell out the entire installation
process in the mharc documentation, so you may have more success:
