Hmm.. That resource does not affect the thread index page.

But the <TLITXT> resource does, and since you haven't included that in 
your resource file, it defaults to:
<TLiTxt>
<li><strong>$SUBJECT$</strong>,
<em>$FROMNAME$</em>
</TLiTxt>

Does that possibly point you in the right direction? :)
