i vote for presenting the user with a user-friendly component name.
if conflict is an issue, could we make the names of these "special"
headers tuneable via a profile entry?

FWIW, I am _not_ a fan of making this adjustable. I would say that it would
create more code and more documentation, for very little benefit.
