do you have a sense of the actual magnitude of the MH user base? that
is, how many format files could this potentially be, beyond the small
membership of this mailing list? are we talking 10, 100, 1000, ...?
Well, first, my apologies to everyone ... I misunderstood what David
meant. No incompatibility is needed. On second look, I realize now
that this never worked; I just copied the bug along when I rototilled
the format engine API. It should have included a NEWCOMP() in there,
and I just copied the bug.
But to your actual question ... I have no idea! My gut says ... maybe
low hundreds? Don't ask me to defend that number, though.
