Hi,
I've recently built procmail-3.11pre4 (for the first time), and am getting the
following sort of messages in the log file:
[with verbose mode set on]
procmail: Locking "new/IN.sysadmin.lock"
procmail: Error while writing to "new/_zVAQnemesis"
[repeated 7 times - default setting?]
procmail: Lock failure on "new/IN.sysadmin.lock"
procmail: Executing "rcvstore,+new/IN.sysadmin"
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER=rcvstore +new/IN.sysadmin"

Subject: Re: subscribe
Folder: rcvstore +new/IN.sysadmin 2642
procmail: Notified comsat: "drs@:rcvstore +new/IN.sysadmin"
The relevant recipe is
:0 w: new/IN.testing/$LOCKEXT
* ^Subject:.*test
| rcvstore +new/IN.testing
As you can see I'm using mh, as final delivery system, and I am using a
.forward to activate procmail.
~/Mail/new/IN.testing exists and is writable by me only, which should be ok, as
procmail will run under my uid.
I have tried every combination of locking in config.h suggested by the FAQ and
INSTALL files: I'm running procmail on SunOS4.1.2 machine, and my ~/Mail
directory is mounted directly on that machine. My mail reader, exmh, runs on a
differnt machine, where ~/Mail is automounted.
But the messages persist.
Now the email gets delivered, so in a way I could ignore them, but I would
like to know why it is happening, and if it is fixable etc..
So anyone have any ideas?
cheers,
dave
