That would all depend on the nature of the list.  I run several small
remailers, and the object is to keep the discussion among the group easily
- just performing a REPLY from just about ANY mailer will succeed in
sending the reply to the list.  It keeps the grief factor down.

Of course, this isn't generally appropriate for large lists (the definition
of large is left up to discretion) where many members are actively
participating in discussions - the message count spirals out of control.
