apology

1997-10-13 12:54:47
To any that erroneously received a message from my mail filter, I apologize. I
just subscribed a few hours ago to this list, and didn't realize exactly how
the list worked.

I have my procmailrc file set up so that it rejects any message coming from a
domain ending in .com or .net, unless it is one of the 20 or so commercial and
net domains on a list of my regular correspondents.

Apparently what happened as best I can figure out is that it rejected a few
messages sent to this mailing list when they met the criteria in my filter. I
had thought the messages would all have the list address as the 'From:'
addressee.

I have now put the top condition in my filter as follows:

* ^Toprocmail
procmail

That ought to fix the problem. Again, I apologize.
