Liston responded,
| formail only matters is user are modifying their messages with
| .procmailrc... right? The lockfile, as I understand it, occur in the
| inbox directory which happens to be local on said machine.
When Philip mentioned `lockfile,' he didn't mean the file that serves as
an indication that a process has a lock on another file (usually named
that_other_file.lock); he meant the executable binary named "lockfile",
which along with formail is created when you compile procmail, and can
be used outside procmail to make lockfiles that will be compatible with
those procmail uses (so that you can safely modify a folder in case mail
for it arrives while you're editing it).
It should be in the same directory as the procmail and formail binaries.
