Mlocal as procmail still did not remove $username.lock

1998-07-09 17:20:27

Folks,

I installed procmail-3.11pre7 on our mailhub(Solaris2.6) and there is
no /etc/procmailrc in presence, even so, local deliveries to users
who are using OpenWin3.x/mailtool had /var/mail/$usrname.lock not
removed on the mailhub. mailhub:/var/mail is nfs mounted to user's
workstation and mailtool was run on their workstation.

Since mailhub:/var/mail/$usrname.lock caused all new mails stuck in
mailhub's memory, you will see a lot of process: 'procmail -Y -a -u
$username' created for that user. This happens ONLY for OpenWin3.x
mailtool users.

In sendmail.cf, it has:

Mlocal,         P=/usr/local/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSnE9 ...etc
 A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u

Did anyone has same experience and know the fix? Your pointers
will be greatly appreciated.
