p.s. not quite related but does anyone have any views on using
sendmail.com's sendmail over Solaris 7's sendmail (8.9.1b)?


ya use Postfix www.postfix.org.

Its easy and only about 100 times faster than sendmail.  To some extent
its regexp ability in the built in mailer makes procmail obsolete.
