Precisely, what do you mean by "trashes"?
And what is in the message sent back?
Turning on logging (and setting VERBOSE=yes) almost always helps
figure out what's going on.

My received copy of your mail shows a garbage character (177 octal)
just before the colon; that could cause lots of trouble if it's
actually there in your recipe. I would think this might toss the
mail into a file with a really weird name (\177 followed by ":0 hc")
which is one reason I ask what you meant by "trashes".
