Is there a procmail-like system I can still use?

AFAIK, there is no procmail port to windows.

In contrast, I think there is, but I don't have the foggiest idea where to
look.

Perhaps you could get vmware and run Windows 2000 AND Linux concurrently?
There are versions for both, and both support running both as clients.

Actually, that's exactly the approach that our tech department wants me
to take. I presently running under w2k, and have a virtual linux box
running pretty darn good. That VMWare is pretty ok stuff.

I'm also exploring the netscape mail client (v4.7). Not bad so far. It
does offer a message filter feature that I've been able to get working
fairly reliably to at least organize my incoming, and all I had to do
was copy my mbox files to the netscape mail folder and bam, netscape was
able to read all my saved mail.

A lot less painful than I thought, but don't suspect for a second though
that I won't keep fighting tooth-and-nail to get my linux+X desktop
back! :^>

thks for the help.
