* Gjermund Sorseth <gjermund(_at_)nextra(_dot_)com> [001214 16:56]:
One problem is that people might switch from procmail to competing
programs like `maildrop' (www.flounder.net/~mrsam/maildrop/) from the
Courier mail system. Then procmail will be the program that does
things by the book, but maildrop will be the program that people use
:-(

Albeit, looking a bit unsupported (or more like very little FAQs and
examples on the web) I do have the tendency to switch to maildrop just
because it follows the so called *standard* that I've seen mailers use.

Right now on our servers, we have procmail as the LDA for local users,
and maildrop as the LDA for virtual users. Maildrop does not do
filtering yet, but, what it does is delivering mail to the virtual
account's folder (due to the nice sharing of userdb with courier
imap/pop3 and webmail client.. Why procmail for local users? cause we
understand it.
