But procmail will also be the program that does things, period. Remember
that maildrop's reasons for being are
(1) to operate on a copy of the current message in a temporary file instead
of holding it in RAM;
(2) to support qmail-style Maildirs at a time when procmail didn't; and
(3) to streamline the binary by leaving out all features and functions of
procmail that the author of maildrop doesn't use in throwing his own
mail.
