Ouch! How about stopping and restarting sendmail?
(as root, cd to /sbin/init.d and execute "./sendmail stop" then
"./sendmail start") Does the problem persist? If not, read on.
when i send an email from or to an outside account everything works fine.
I couldn't find anything particular useful in the archives, so hopfully
somebody can tell me where to look.
The output of the following commands might be a good place to start;
post your results to the list and we might be able to help.
ls -ld /var /var/spool /var/spool/mail /var/spool/mail/hareter
ls -ld /usr /usr/bin /usr/bin/procmail # if that's where your procmail is
ps -fp `head -1 /var/run/sendmail.pid`
procmail -v
grep '^Mlocal' /etc/sendmail.cf
