Re: get rid of 'From '-"Header"

2001-06-28 06:29:20
I assume you are using formail in there somewhere?

I have the same setup with cyrus, and the problem came up the minute I
started processing messages with formail.

As it turns out, formail forces messages to a mailbox format that
cyrus doesn't like. The way to turn this off is to make sure you use
the -f flag to 'Force formail to simply pass along any non-mailbox
format (i.e. don't generate a `From ' line as the first line).' as the
manpage quotes.

At first, I thought this would essentially tell formail not to process
anything (now I laugh at myself, why would you call it and tell it not
to do anything?), but it just says don't change the format of
messages. Sendmail will pass it along in the correct format.

Hi!

I am trying to deliver with my .procmailrc to /usr/cyrus/bin/deliver.
It complains about "invalid Header", of course because of the first
line beginning with "From ".
I read the docu but found no way to get rid of it, please HELP :-)
