Whoops - I answered the wrong contributor's question with the wrong
answer of mine. Sorry about that. The quota mail was intended for
the next contributor in my procmail inbox! I've now forwarded my
reply to him.
As for comstat, I was merely going to suggest the newmail program.
It has nothing to do with comstat, but it works fine.
There are also solutions inherent to the tcsh user shell. See
man tcsh. Probably also true for other modern shells like
zsh.
